Connection: The Word Became Flesh

Worship Series: January 14, 2018 - February 11, 2018

God as Spirit intentionally put on skin for us. This is called the incarnation—a word that means “to take on flesh.” Why did God do this? Because of people. People matter. You matter. Jesus came to live a life. He came to model a new way to be human. He came in the flesh to show us how to live in our flesh. We miss the the incarnation when we view Jesus only through his birth or death or resurrection. We get the full picture of the incarnation when we view Jesus through his life in the neighborhood.

Few of us are looking for more clarity on doctrinal issues. But many of us are looking for a God with skin on, a God we can know, relate with, speak with, struggle with, be honest with, and connect our lives to. This series is about that God—the God who moved into our neighborhood and shows us what a life of connection is all about.
